Join our Team of Dedicated Volunteers!

Our volunteers are a vital part of what we do at Pioneer Ocean View United Church of Christ. 

We would love for you to join our team and use your unique gifts to help others connect with God. If you are ready to put your time and talents to use, we have a place for you on our team!

Below are a few of the many ways to get involved. 

Serve In Worship

Each week, volunteers lend their time and talent to help make our worship services run smoothly. They each perform vital roles in our weekly worship services.

-Serve Communion

-Serve as a Worship Leader

-Act as an usher/greeter

-Help with our audio/visual ministry 

-Help prepare lunch for our Fellowship Hour

-Drive the golf cart to greet and assist members in the parking lot

Make a Joyful Noise

Many of our church members use their talents and gifts to glorify God through music.  Some play instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Anyone with a desire to sing, is welcome in our choir. 

- Sing in the Choir

- Play a musical instrument during worship

- Join our ukelele band

- Perform a solo vocal piece

Care for Our Church and Facilities

God has blessed us with a beautiful site. Help us be good stewards of this gift so that we may share it with others.

-Join a group that performs minor repairs around the church

-Participate in periodic church clean-up days

-Support all-church fundraisers

-Serve on the Facilities Use committee

Care for Our Elders with the Elderberries Group

The Elderberries are a group of "young at heart" seniors, who meet together for fellowship and support. The mission of this group to serve POVUCC seniors and homebound members. 

Care for Our Children

Help our children and youth see the love of God at work in their lives. 

-Volunteer to teach Sunday School for a day during the summer

-Volunteer to help with special Children's events
